Guy McIntyre is an irish artist who trained firstly in Yorkshire, the land of Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moores, before moving back to his native Ulster to complete his education.

It was whilst in Yorkshire he was first introduced to the sculpting great, David Mach whose work was to be the inspiration for El Diablo.

El Diablo is the result of five years of conceptual thinking combining Guy McIntyre's love for primitive art with using fire as a medium.

El Diablo is Guy's third project of this kind but is by far the most successful.

He believes that the strong image of the devil (Lucifer the light bearer),although religiously provocative, is ironically suitable for this his first fire sculpture.
